Neuro-affirming Support

Neuro-affirming therapy recognises neurodivergence, including autism and ADHD, as a natural variation in how people think and experience the world, rather than something to be fixed.

What it can feel like

Many neurodivergent adults have spent years adapting to environments that were not designed with them in mind. This can lead to exhaustion, anxiety, low mood or a sense of not fitting in, sometimes before anyone has recognised the underlying reason.

Some people come to us with a diagnosis, some are wondering whether they might be neurodivergent, and some simply want support that takes their way of thinking into account.

How therapy may help

Therapy can help you understand your own profile, reduce the pressure to mask, and find ways of living and working that suit you better. We adapt how sessions run, including their structure, pace and communication style, to what works for you.

How we work with this

We approach this work with curiosity and respect for your experience. Your psychologist will ask how you prefer to communicate and what helps you feel comfortable, and will tailor therapy to suit you.
