Online therapy with experienced Clinical Psychologists
Elementa is a private practice founded by three Clinical Psychologists. We work with adults who feel overwhelmed, anxious, low, burnt out or stuck, and with people who can’t yet put a name to what’s wrong.
A note from us
We are three Clinical Psychologists. Between us we have worked in NHS adult services, child and adolescent services and forensic settings, often with people whose difficulties didn’t fit neatly into a referral form.
We started Elementa to offer that same depth of thinking privately and online, in a way that doesn’t feel formal or distant. You speak to one of us from the first call. Nobody will ask you to arrive with a diagnosis.
If you’re not sure whether therapy is right for you, that’s a reasonable place to start. Send us a few lines and we’ll talk it through.

How we can help
The areas we see most often. You don’t need to pick one before getting in touch, and many people recognise themselves in more than one.
All areas of support-
Anxiety
Worry that’s hard to switch off, or a sense of dread that seems to come from nowhere. -
Stress & Burnout
Running on empty, struggling to switch off, and feeling like rest no longer helps. -
Low Mood & Depression
Feeling flat, heavy or disconnected, and finding it hard to enjoy things you used to. -
Trauma
When something that happened continues to affect how you feel, react or relate to others. -
Relationships
Patterns in relationships that keep repeating, or connections that feel harder than they should. -
Self-Esteem
A harsh inner critic, or a persistent sense of not being good enough. -
Identity & Life Transitions
Big changes, or questions about who you are and where you are heading. -
Neuro-affirming Support
Support that works with how your mind works, rather than trying to change who you are. -
Emotional Dysregulation
Emotions that feel very intense, change quickly or are hard to recover from. -
Grief & Loss
Making sense of a loss, and finding ways to carry it. -
Parent Coaching
Support for parents who want to understand and respond to their child differently. -
Poor Sleep
Lying awake, waking in the night, or never quite feeling rested.
What happens when you get in touch
Sending an enquiry doesn’t commit you to therapy. The first step is a short call, and you decide what happens after it.
-
Day one
Get in touch
Tell us a little about what you are looking for. A sentence or two is plenty; you don’t need to explain everything.
-
Within two working days
A 15-minute conversation
A relaxed call at a time that suits you, to talk through what is going on, ask questions and see whether Elementa feels like the right fit.
-
When you’re ready
Initial assessment
A longer session with your psychologist to understand what has brought you here and what you would like to change. Afterwards, you receive a short written summary and a proposed plan.
-
Then
Ongoing therapy
Regular online sessions, reviewed together as you go so the work stays focused on what matters to you.
The psychologists
Three Clinical Psychologists with different backgrounds and ways of working. On the first call we’ll help you work out who is best placed to support you.
-
Dr Abi Watkinson
Clinical Psychologist
I’m interested in how people make sense of what has happened to them. Therapy is often about finding a version of that story you can live with.
Brings experience from adult, CAMHS and forensic services to thoughtful, collaborative work with adults.

Working online
Every session takes place by secure video. For many people that makes therapy easier to start and to keep going with: there’s no travel, no waiting room, and you can talk from somewhere familiar.
